Edit warring policy

Users are limited to three reverts per 24 hours per user on any given article. Violation of this is considered edit warring. Exceptions include:

  • Reverting of obvious vandalism and sockpuppets.
  • Self-reverting.
  • Reverting edits made in your userspace, so as long as your user page is acceptable.
  • Reverting stuff illegal in the USA.
  • Reverting in line with consensus. Link to the discussion when making such reverts.

Any protracted content dispute involving repeated reversions of others' edits, even if they do not breach the three revert rule, is still an edit war. Editors who engage in edit wars or constantly revert others without attempting to seek community consensus for their disputed changes may be blocked from editing.

Violation of these rules will result in actions necessary to prevent disruption, including possible sanctions.
